Which party tent to rent: size, ground and wind

Work from your guest count: about half a square metre per standing guest, about one per seated guest. A 3x3 (9 m²) is a bar or buffet, a 3x6 (18 m²) suits roughly 30 standing or 15 to 20 seated guests, a 4x8 (32 m²) a dinner for over 30. Choose the subcategory Rent a party tent and filter by Guest capacity and Surface area. Ask the owner beforehand about anchoring — pegs for grass, weights for paving — and the wind limit. A tent left standing in strong wind is your responsibility: damage from negligent use falls outside Huurmarkt protection, even where it is switched on.

Renting bar tables, chairs and tables

One bar table per four to six standing guests; a 180 cm folding table seats six to eight. Take a few spare chairs. Table skirts and cloths are under Rent party decorations.

Renting speakers and lighting

Up to about fifty guests, one party box or active speaker is enough; bigger, or with a DJ, calls for a set with a mixer. Check Power supply in the listing: 230 V on a household socket, three-phase (400 V) for large sets and catering appliances, or battery where there is no socket. For lasers and powerful sound gear, ask about the class and sound output; local noise rules are your responsibility.

Renting a beer tap, cooling and a bouncy castle

You rent the beer tap here and arrange the keg yourself: drinks are not part of the rental. Switch a fridge or freezer on well ahead, check the temperature before use and report deviations straight away. With gas bottles and burners, check the hose and regulator are in date, and ventilate. A bouncy castle needs a blower on 230 V and is sensitive to wind: ask about the maximum number of children, anchoring and supervision, and filter by Event type and Indoor/outdoor use. Hand catering gear back cleaned; ask beforehand what a dirty return costs. Professional fireworks and recreational nitrous oxide are not rented here.

What does renting a party tent cost, and which size do I need (3x3, 3x6 or 4x8 metres)?

The owner sets the day price. As a guide, private owners elsewhere typically ask €60 to €85 a day for a party tent (2026 market figures, not Huurmarkt rates). Rule of thumb for size: a 3x3 is a bar or buffet, a 3x6 suits roughly 30 guests and a 4x8 a dinner for over 30 — the per-guest maths is in the guide above; choose the subcategory Rent a party tent and filter by Guest capacity and Surface area. How many bar tables or chairs do I need for my guests?

Count one bar table per four to six standing guests and one chair per seated guest, plus a few spares. A 180 cm folding table seats six to eight; add one or two tables for a buffet or bar. Can I have the party tent or bouncy castle delivered and set up, or do I collect it myself?

What if the owner cancels just before my party?

Then you get everything back: rental price, deposit and any delivery fee. Huurmarkt treats a cancellation on the start day as serious, but there is no compensation for the ruined party itself; consequential loss falls outside Huurmarkt's liability. So look for an alternative straight away: you can send a request up to two hours before the pick-up time, and with an instant-booking listing you are certain immediately. Cancelling as an owner

Can I rent party equipment as an event agency or business, and get an invoice?

Yes, with a regular account: switch on Business account in your profile with your company name and, if you like, your VAT number; you can upload a KvK (Chamber of Commerce) extract for verification. Huurmarkt does not issue invoices itself, so ask the owner for an invoice for the rental. For a large event you book per listing; there is no shopping basket.
